Sexology is the study of human sexuality. Thus, the helping relationship in sexology can help find solutions to relational, sexual or personal difficulties. The sexologist identifies the psychological and/or physiological mechanisms that may be contributing to the problem.
Psychologist
The psychologist is an expert in behavior, emotions and mental health. It intervenes with people who are experiencing distress or psychological difficulties.
